Enabling ZATCA-Compliant E-Invoicing for a Leading Saudi Bank
When Saudi Arabia introduced mandatory e-invoicing through the ZATCA framework, a prominent Saudi Arabian bank found itself facing a familiar problem. The regulation was clear, but fitting strict compliance rules into an already complex banking environment was anything but straightforward.
Challenge
Under ZATCA rules, invoices cannot simply be sent from a core banking system. Each one must be validated externally, assigned a unique response code, and displayed with a compliant QR code before it reaches the customer. For a bank processing high volumes of invoices every day, manual handling or custom built integrations would have introduced risk, delays and unnecessary operational strain.
Solution
Holly Grove implemented a seamless e-invoicing workflow using Lasernet and certified third-party providers. As soon as an invoice is generated in the bank’s core system, it is automatically submitted for validation. The response code is returned in real time, embedded into the document, and rendered as a QR code in exactly the right place. From the bank’s perspective, the process feels invisible, yet every invoice is fully compliant, delivered digitally, and ready to scale as volumes grow.
